ORTIGA 3 is a steel circle 40 cm across, hung on a cable of up to 190 cm, with a single GU10 point aimed downwards. The finish is matt platinum, and the lamp is made in Poland.
The circle is a frame, not a shade
In the ORTIGA collection the ring neither conceals the source nor diffuses the light — it is a purely graphic element. The output stays **a point**: it leaves a small GU10 holder at the centre and falls as a narrow pool, while the circle draws a line in the air that orders the space over a table or against a wall. It is the inverse of an ordinary pendant, where the shade is the object and the light its consequence; here light and form are independent of one another.
Three sizes and two shapes
ORTIGA comes as 1 (200 mm), 2 (300 mm) and 3 (400 mm) — this is the largest. The maker also offers **squares** in the same family, in the same sizes and finishes, so over a longer surface you can pair a circle with a square, or hang three different diameters at staggered heights. The colours are black and platinum; platinum here is a cool, matt silver closer to pewter than to chrome, and it does not mirror its surroundings.
Lamp and installation
The fitting has one **GU10 socket and comes without a bulb** — the colour and beam angle are yours to choose. Because the light is a point, the angle matters a great deal here: a 36° lamp gives a defined pool on the table, while 120° spreads wider and softens the contrast. Suspension reaches 190 cm and is shortened during installation; over a table, 70–80 cm above the top is usual, so that the ring sits above the eye line of anyone seated. The structure is steel and IP20 protection places the lamp in dry rooms. Antigo covers its fittings with a five-year warranty.
