Armchair Gallery Direct Alegra Taupe Mid-Century Oak Frame

Gallery Direct Alegra armchair in taupe

Alegra is an armchair with a clearly drawn, Mid-Century-inspired profile. Its rounded back encloses the seat, while a dark hand-curved frame runs from the arms into slender legs. Taupe upholstery creates a calm contrast with the Antique Ebony finish. The product images show its soft looped texture and a separate back cushion with a subtle pattern. This is an individual piece of seating with a sculptural outline that remains legible from both the front and the side.

Materials and form

• oak and plywood construction;
• polyester upholstery with foam and polyfibre filling;
• rounded back, open timber arms and a loose back cushion;
• legs finished in Antique Ebony;
• freestanding model with no assembly required.

Dimensions for planning

The armchair is 68 cm wide, 84 cm deep and 83 cm high. Seat height is 42 cm, seat depth is 50 cm and the width between the arms is 58 cm. Those measurements are useful when positioning it beside a side table, bookcase or a defined seating area. Net weight is 15.75 kg and gross weight is 20.79 kg.

A defined indoor accent

The pairing of taupe textile and dark wood lets Alegra sit naturally with timber, ceramics and restrained fabrics. Intended for indoor use, it suits a setting that needs one recognisable armchair rather than an anonymous matching piece. The exposed frame does not overwhelm the volume; instead, it underlines the gentle curve of the back and the light proportions of the design.

When choosing a position, allow access to the arms and plan for the full 84 cm depth rather than only the front width. Alegra is not presented as part of a modular set: its rounded shell, open frame and light upholstery make it a self-contained focal piece. The back cushion remains a visible detail, softening the graphic line of the dark timber.
