Bollard Light NORLYS Skara 2945BL black LED 7.7 W 4000 K 85 cm with 2 × 230 V type E sockets

NORLYS Skara 2945BL is an 85 cm bollard light made of extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated black (RAL 9005). A projecting head at the top shines downwards through a sealed, clear PMMA lens, and lower down on the same face there are two 230 V type E sockets, so the bollard lights the path and doubles as a power point in the garden.

Sockets and wiring

The built-in power distributor has two type E (Uni) 16 A sockets with an earth pin, standard in Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and France. The manufacturer allows 1 × 3600 W or 2 × 1800 W: one appliance up to 3600 W, or two at once up to 1800 W each. A hybrid E/F plug (CEE 7/7) fits these sockets as well as Schuko ones; the same bollard with Schuko sockets is index 2953BL.

The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm² and allow loop-through wiring to the next bollard; the gland accepts round cable up to ø12.5 mm. Installation is for a qualified electrician, following the supplied instructions.

What light it gives

The 5.8 W Cree LED module produces 828 lm, and 730 lm leaves the luminaire at 7.7 W. The Ledil SCL lens spreads the light as IESNA Type II/III, wider along the path than across it. Only 1.73% of the flux goes upwards (BUG B1-U1-G1), so the bollard hardly lights the sky. 4000 K is a neutral white and CRI 80 renders colours correctly.

The light can be phase-dimmed, but only with a trailing-edge (TE) dimmer, which is what the Philips Xitanium TE driver works with, so check that the dimmer operates in that mode.

Installation, durability and service

The bollard weighs 6 kg and is bolted down through four ø7 mm holes at 64 × 64 mm. The concrete-in anchor (2934ZX0009) is sold separately. The housing is IP54 and the optical assembly (LED module and lens) IP67, so the bollard can stand in the rain uncovered; impact resistance is IK08. It operates from −20 to +45 °C.

The LED module keeps 90% of its flux for over 109,000 h (L90) and the driver is rated for 50,000 h; both are replaced as spare parts by a professional service.
