Bollard Light NORLYS Egersund Mini 1290GR graphite LED 9.1 W 3000 K 85 cm

Egersund Mini 1290GR is an LED garden bollard 85 cm tall and 12 cm in diameter, cast in aluminium and powder-coated graphite in RAL 7016. At the top, under a flat cap, a clear PMMA diffuser surrounds a conical reflector that spreads the light all round the bollard. The LED module and driver are built in – the bollard connects straight to the 230 V mains.

Size and installation

The lit section takes up the top 16 cm, and the whole bollard weighs 5.5 kg. At 85 cm the light falls on the path and its edges from just below an adult's hip height, so it does not glare. The base is bolted down through three ø9 mm holes set 120° apart on a ø65 mm circle.

Ground fixings are sold separately: mounting adapter 3086GA0009, concreting anchor 205ZX0010, ground anchor 206GA0010 and concrete-foundation adapter 206GA0S10. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm², further bollards can be looped through with up to 2 × 2.5 mm², and the cable gland takes a cable of 8–12.5 mm diameter. The bollard is protection class II and needs no protective earth.

How much light, and what kind

The Cree module draws 7.4 W and produces 1370 lm; the complete luminaire draws 9.1 W and delivers 864 lm, or 94.9 lm/W. That is about the brightness of an old 60 W bulb, spread all round the bollard (rotationally symmetric distribution), with only 11 % of the output going upwards. 3000 K is warm white, and SDCM1 means several bollards along one path glow in exactly the same tint.

It dims on an ordinary phase dimmer, trailing-edge or leading-edge. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service (repair kit ZS1290zx0014); the manufacturer gives an L80 lifetime above 102,000 h.

Durability and use

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK08 an impact resistance of 5 J. The gasket is silicone, the cable gland nylon 6, and the operating range is −20 to +45 °C. Norlys designed the bollard for gardens and for private and public areas: it suits a terrace, a driveway or a garden path, as well as the front of a hotel or restaurant.
