The Endon Eldon 103829 is an outdoor wall light with a PIR motion sensor, textured black metalwork and a clear ribbed glass shade. A curved arm holds the spherical shade away from the wall, while the sensor sits near the bottom of the circular mounting plate. Its traditional outline is combined with automatic light activation.
Set the sensor for your entrance
Endon specifies this fitting for exterior walkways and entrance areas. The PIR has a 110° detection angle and an adjustable range of up to 8 m. The lighting duration can be set from 5 seconds to 5 minutes, with a light-level adjustment range of 10–2000 lux. These settings let the switching behaviour be adapted to the installation rather than relying on one fixed activation time.
The instructions require vertical installation at a height of 1.8–2.5 m above ground. Account for this when planning the supply cable and mounting position. The maximum sensor range is not a promise of identical detection at every site; sensitivity should be adjusted and tested in the actual location.
Choose a separate E27 LED bulb
Eldon requires one E27 LED bulb rated at no more than 10 W. The bulb is not included, so brightness and colour temperature depend on your choice of light source rather than being fixed characteristics of the fitting. Clear glass leaves the bulb visible, making its shape part of the finished appearance. The wall light is not suitable for dimming.
Allow for the projection from the wall
The fitting is 29.2 cm high and 15 cm wide, projecting 28.8 cm from the wall. Check that projection near opening doors or narrow walkways. Its IP44 rating supports outdoor use, but the instructions exclude immersion and positions exposed to heavy splashing or standing water. This is a Class I fitting and must be earthed. For care, the manufacturer specifies a dry cloth only, without liquid or abrasive cleaners.
