Floor Lamp s.luce Velo Travertine Stone and Glass, 187 cm, E27

The s.luce Velo floor lamp combines a 20 cm brown glass shade with a white metal frame and a cylindrical beige travertine base. The glass has a vertically formed surface around the visible bulb. Natural stone has its own structure, so the pattern of the base can vary between individual lamps.

Height and placement beside furniture

This version stands 187 cm tall, with a 20 cm glass shade at the top of its slender metal frame. Beside a sofa or armchair, it adds a separate light that can be switched on independently of the ceiling lighting.

Travertine forms the stone base, joined to the white frame by two horizontal connections. This version combines brown glass, white metal and pale stone. The manufacturer states that the glass shade screws into place.

One E27 bulb to select

The socket takes one E27 bulb rated up to 40 W. A bulb is not included, so its colour temperature and brightness are chosen separately. The bulb remains visible through the glass, making its shape part of the appearance as well.

The lamp has no dimming function. A foot switch on the cable turns it on without reaching up to the shade. The power cable is 260 cm long, which needs to be considered in relation to the socket position. The replaceable bulb can later be exchanged for another suitable E27 light source within the power limit.

The manufacturer recommends Velo for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners; its application tags also name dining rooms and studies. It provides an additional light beside a place to relax, away from the centre of the room. A simple frame, one glass shade and the visible travertine structure give it a modern character.
