Gea Luce GES962 is a rust-coloured outdoor wall light with a horizontal rectangular body. Its housing is made from die-cast aluminium, with a polycarbonate diffuser. Pale surfaces above and below the metal front accompany the two-way light emission, while the shape avoids decorative arms and an exposed bulb.
Upward and downward light
The integrated 10 W LED module is included, so there is no separate screw-in bulb to choose. Gea Luce specifies two-way emission and a 120° beam angle. When deciding where to mount it, consider the wall surface above as well as below the fitting rather than planning around a single narrow beam.
A colour temperature of 4000 K gives neutral white light. Compare this with any existing exterior lighting if you want to avoid mixing noticeably different whites on the same facade. The declared luminous flux is 379 lm. The 10 W electrical rating alone does not tell you whether one fitting will provide enough light for an entire terrace; its position and the brightness needed in the particular area also matter.
A restrained architectural shape
The rust colour is a finish on aluminium, not a claim that the housing is made from weathering steel. Straight edges and a broad, undecorated face suit modern and minimalist exterior schemes. A terrace wall, balcony wall or facade beside an entrance is consistent with the specified outdoor wall installation. Account for light travelling in both directions when laying out the fittings, rather than judging their spacing only by their daytime appearance.
On/off operation, without dimming
GES962 operates by switching on and off and is not dimmable. It is therefore not the right choice where brightness adjustment through a dimmer is essential. It uses a 220–240 V AC supply, and its Class I construction requires the appropriate protective earth connection. IP65 indicates dust-tight protection and resistance to water jets; it does not mean the light is intended for submersion.
