The STEINEL HALLWAY DALI-2 APC UP is a Professional Line presence and twilight sensor built for concealed (flush) ceiling mounting in long corridors and hallways. It uses high-frequency (HF, 5.8 GHz) detection, so it also picks up motion through glass, wood and stud walls.
Detection range
The sensor covers a radial detection range of up to 25 m at a 360° angle (140° aperture), with reach adjustable in both directions along the corridor axis and across it (25 x 3 m, 75 m²). Optimum mounting height is 2.8 m, within an allowed range of 2–4 m. A sneak-by guard prevents someone moving near the edge of the detection zone from being missed.
Integration and control
It operates as a DALI-2 APC (Application Controller) and DALI-2 IPD device, addressing or broadcasting to up to 64 electronic ballasts. It also supports COM1, COM2, KNX and IP interfaces, with configuration done wirelessly over Bluetooth. Multiple sensors can be interconnected in a master/slave setup over Bluetooth or the DALI bus, with neighbouring-group and master/slave override functions.
