Inglenook Small Table Lamp - 1 Light Source - Dark Brown Elstead

Inglenook is a small Tiffany-style table lamp by the American brand Quoizel: a four-sided pyramid shade of handcrafted art glass in sapphire blue, warm honey amber and cream, set on a slender base in a Valiant Bronze finish — a dark bronze. It is distributed by Elstead Lighting.

Handcrafted glass

The geometric pattern of the shade draws on the Arts & Crafts movement. The manufacturer notes that glass colour in Tiffany-style lamps varies and no two pieces are identical — so the lamp you receive may differ slightly in tone from the photo. That is part of the technique, not a fault.

Dimensions

The lamp is 36.5 cm tall, and shade and base fit within a 20.3 × 20.3 cm square. It weighs 1.34 kg. The small footprint lets it sit on a bedside table, a narrow console or a windowsill.

Bulb and light

It has an E14 lampholder for one bulb of up to 40 W; no bulb is supplied. Light passes through coloured glass, so the lamp gives a warm, coloured glow rather than bright task light — it is mood lighting. A warm-white bulb brings out the amber tones. The lamp is compatible with dimmable bulbs, and dimming needs a suitable dimmer.

It is Class II, meaning double insulation.

Style and use
