Kisa Head 5171GR Graphite LED Post-Top Luminaire 4000K by NORLYS

Kisa Head 5171GR is a post-top luminaire: a slender 90 cm aluminium cylinder that is mounted on top of a pole. The body is an extruded aluminium profile powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016), and the light leaves through a long satin PMMA window running down one side of the fitting. The pole and the other mounting accessories are bought separately.

What light it gives

Inside are three Philips Fortimo Strip LED modules with a combined 6.5 W and 1246 lm; the whole luminaire draws 8.8 W. 4000 K is neutral white, and CRI 80 with SDCM3 means faithful colours and a consistent tint from one fitting to the next along a run. The satin diffuser spreads the light to one side, and ULOR is 50% (BUG B1-U3-G1) – half of the flux goes above the horizontal, so the luminaire also brightens its surroundings: planting, walls and the space above the path, not only the paving.

Dimming and connection

The luminaire is phase-dimmable on both trailing edge (TE) and leading edge (LE), so it works with either type of phase dimmer; the driver is a Philips Xitanium TE. The wiring is made in a sealed IP68 junction box with terminals up to 3 × 4 mm², and further luminaires can be looped through at the same cross-section. A round-sheathed cable of 4–14 mm diameter fits. With an inrush current of 1.65 A, the manufacturer allows 157 of these luminaires on one B 10A breaker and 254 on a B 16A, so a longer row of poles can run on a single circuit.

Lifetime and service

The housing is rated IP65. The LED modules and driver are included, yet a professional service can replace them – the manufacturer lists service kit ZS5171zx0009 for this luminaire. The modules are rated L90B10 above 64,000 h and L80B20 above 72,000 h, and the driver 50,000 h. The luminaire weighs 5.9 kg, and 6.3 kg in its 16 × 16 × 93 cm box.
