ALOR is a Markslöjd outdoor wall light with a black, half-cylinder aluminium body that throws light downwards only. It is 10 cm high and 9 cm wide, and projects 7 cm from the wall. The LED source is built in, and brightness can be switched between three levels.
What light it gives and how brightness is set
The 4.9 W LED module delivers 400 lm of warm white light at 3000 K, with a colour rendering index of Ra 90 — render, timber and plants beneath the lamp keep their natural colours. A 36° beam angle means a fairly narrow cone aimed at the wall and the ground below the fitting, rather than light spread across the whole facade.
Brightness steps through three settings: 100%, 75% or 50% of the output. The lamp has a memory function, so when switched on again it returns to the last level used. No separate dimmer is needed for this — the control is built into the fitting.
Where it can be mounted
An IP65 rating means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, so the light can hang on an exposed wall of a building with no canopy above it. The manufacturer intends it for facades; it also suits a balcony or a garden wall, where it lights a narrow strip below.
The fitting is fixed to the wall on a bracket, and the supply cables connect to terminals inside the luminaire. It is a protection class I fitting, so the installation must include an earth conductor — connection should be done by an electrician.
Light source and servicing
The LED module comes with the lamp and no bulb is required. It is not a permanent part, though: the manufacturer provides for its replacement, and the spare part has article number 109191. Only the light insert is swapped, while the body stays on the wall.
