Nordlux Roar 84960003 black recessed LED downlight 7 W 8.5 cm

Nordlux Roar – black recessed LED downlight

Roar 84960003 by Nordlux is a compact round recessed fitting with a black finish. Its integrated, non-replaceable LED source provides warm 3000 K light and a 550 lm output. Brightness can be adjusted with a compatible wall dimmer. This is a considered option where a discreet fitting is wanted without selecting a separate bulb.

Dimensions and installation

The fitting measures 8.5 cm in diameter, with both height and depth stated as 4.38 cm. It operates at 230 V, uses 7 W and has protection class II. Nordlux specifies that it may be installed directly in insulation and connected in parallel. Before installation, assess the construction at the intended location and follow the product documentation.

Where it fits

The IP23 rating makes Roar suitable for indoor use and for an appropriately sheltered outdoor position. Its simple black rim works naturally with contemporary architecture and restrained finishes. It can form a repeated light pattern in a ceiling, soffit or another element designed for recessed installation.

Key details

• integrated LED, 3000 K and 550 lm,
• dimmable through a wall dimmer,
• 8.5 cm diameter,
• black plastic primary material,
• IP23 and a declared LED lifetime of 30,000 hours.

Roar is a compact choice for a scheme requiring warm light and a clean, unobtrusive detail.

Because the light source is integrated, its declared lifetime is worth considering during planning. The warm output can provide a calm accent, while the black finish remains visually discreet when several fittings are used together in one lighting layout.
