Norlys ALTA 1457GA is a hot-dip galvanised steel bollard with a cylindrical body and a head surrounded by regularly spaced louvres. Its milky diffuser is made of PMMA, and the silvery finish identifies the GA version. An integrated LED module produces neutral white light at 4000 K and works with DALI control.
A low bollard for outdoor surroundings
At 49 cm high and 15 cm in diameter, the bollard can be compared with the edge of the paving and the available mounting space. Its modern form combines a plain cylinder with repeated horizontal shields. Outdoor and garden applications include positions beside a terrace, driveway or approach from the street. Compare the bollard height with plants and edging at the proposed position to assess whether its head will remain visible.
4000 K light and DALI control
The complete fitting draws 10 W and delivers 173 lm; the latter describes the light leaving the fitting rather than the LED module alone. Neutral white at 4000 K describes light colour, not brightness. Light is distributed rotationally symmetrically around the bollard, with shielding from above.
DALI allows the fitting to form part of a compatible lighting control system. Plan for suitable DALI control if you want to adjust the lighting; an ordinary phase-cut dimmer does not replace this interface. The LED module is part of the fitting, so no separate bulb needs to be selected.
Mounting, protection and servicing
The bollard needs to be fixed to the ground, with anchors and mounting adapters sold separately. The fixing method therefore forms part of preparing the installation position. It operates at 220–240 V and has protection class II, so a protective earth connection is not required for the fitting.
IP65 means a dust-tight enclosure and protection against water jets, which matters for outdoor use. The LED source and control gear can be replaced by a professional service provider; this is not a fitting for routine user replacement of a bulb.
