Norlys Astrid 2210GR LED Bollard Light, Graphite, 85 cm, 2700 K, DALI-2

Astrid 2210GR is an 85 cm Norlys bollard built from an extruded aluminium profile 14 × 14 cm in section, powder-coated graphite (RAL 7016). Its upper part is a milky PMMA diffuser, through which the built-in LED module gives diffused light with no visible bright point.

How much light, and what kind

The fitting draws 10.6 W and delivers 247 lm at 2700 K, a warm, yellowish light close to a traditional bulb. The maker states a ULOR of 50%: half of the output leaves above the level of the diffuser, so the bollard glows as a lit column and marks the edge of a path or driveway rather than acting as a downward spotlight. The light source is built in and comes with the fitting.

It has a DALI-2 driver, so brightness is controlled from a DALI system; an ordinary phase dimmer will not dim it. It suits an installation where the garden or site lighting runs on a DALI controller.

Installation and wiring

The bollard bolts down through three ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. No anchor is included: the maker sells a concrete-in anchor, a ground anchor, a concrete-foundation adapter and a mounting adapter separately, and the choice depends on the surface.

The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to loop on to the next fitting, and the gland takes round cable up to ø12.5 mm. Five terminals cover live, neutral, earth and the two DALI bus cores. The maker's card states how many fittings one circuit breaker will carry — B10: 46, B16: 74, C10: 74, C16: 119 — which lets you plan the circuit for a longer row of bollards.

Durability

IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, and IK10 is the highest impact-resistance class, which matters beside driveways and footpaths. The fitting is protection class I, so it must be connected to a protective earth. The Astrid series also includes 55 cm bollards and versions at 3000 K and 4000 K.
