Norlys Astrid 2212GB LED garden bollard, beige grey, 85 cm

Norlys Astrid 2212GB is an 85 cm LED garden bollard in beige grey RAL 7006. Vertical ribs run along its aluminium body and reveal the milky diffuser near the top. A square cross-section with rounded corners gives it a different outline from a cylindrical path light.

Planning its position

The body measures 14 cm across and 14 cm deep. Compare the 85 cm height with planting and nearby structures before choosing a position: the illuminated section is at the top and should not be hidden behind foliage. Suitable locations include the edges of garden paths, terraces and driveways, as well as planted courtyards. Keep the fixture outside the actual walking or driving route.

The simple outline and repeated vertical ribs suit modern, minimalist and Scandinavian design schemes. Beige grey is a specific finish rather than graphite or black. Use RAL 7006 when coordinating it with other outdoor elements instead of relying on the broad description grey.

Output and brightness control

The built-in LED provides warm white light at 3000 K. Output from the complete luminaire is 256 lm. The separate figure of 1536 lm refers to the light source, not the amount emerging from the finished fixture. Diffused light passes between the upright ribs, so the visible pattern is part of the design rather than an exposed bulb.

For a longer route, use the photometric information to plan spacing rather than expecting one bollard to illuminate an entire garden. The luminaire draws 10.4 W and supports TRIAC phase dimming with both leading-edge and trailing-edge control. A compatible dimmer must be selected as part of the electrical installation.

Fixing and professional servicing

The powder-coated aluminium profile and milky PMMA diffuser form an IP65, IK10 enclosure. This is a fixed installation supplied at 220–240 V, not a portable floor lamp. Mounting accessories and fixing screws are purchased separately. Installation should be undertaken by a qualified professional. Both the LED source and control gear are replaceable by professional service personnel; this is not an ordinary user-replaceable bulb arrangement.
