Borg 6180CS LED Bollard Light in Corten Steel Colour, 85 cm – NORLYS

Borg 6180CS is an 85 cm bollard light: a slim column 7.6 cm in diameter topped by a flat, round cap 20 cm across. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated in a corten steel colour — a warm, rust-like tone. Light leaves through a satin PMMA diffuser tucked under the cap.

How much light it gives and where it goes

The integrated LED module draws 16 W and the luminaire as a whole delivers 1514 lm. 3000 K is warm white, and a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough to keep a path, steps or driveway easy to read after dark. Light spreads rotationally symmetric, evenly all around the bollard, and only 0.4% of the output goes upwards — the fitting lights the ground around it, not the sky or the neighbours' windows.

The bollard can be dimmed with a phase dimmer of either type: trailing edge (TE) or leading edge (LE).

Installation and wiring

The box contains the luminaire only. Norlys sells the ground fixings separately: a ground spike anchor (202), an anchor for setting in concrete (203) and an adapter for a concrete foundation (201) — one of them has to be chosen to suit the installation spot.

The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 4 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to further bollards; the cable should have a round sheath 8–12.5 mm in diameter. The fitting is protection class I, so it must be connected to the protective earth. Norlys states that a single B 10 A circuit breaker can carry up to 31 of these luminaires, and a B 16 A up to 50.

Durability and servicing

IP65 means the bollard can stay outdoors without any cover, in rain and dust, and IK08 impact resistance protects a fitting that stands low, right next to the path. The LED module and the driver are replaceable, but only by a professional service — Norlys supplies the ZS6180 service kit for this. The manufacturer rates the driver at 50,000 h and the LED module at over 102,000 h (L80).

Norlys designed Borg for lighting gardens, private grounds and public spaces, so it fits beside a terrace, along a driveway or by the street in front of a property.
