NORLYS Koster Double Head 1197GR graphite LED post-top luminaire 37 W 4000 K Ø60 DALI2

Koster Double Head 1197GR is a twin-head post-top luminaire: two straight arms run in opposite directions from a vertical sleeve and end in dome-shaped heads 24.5 cm across. The whole fitting spans 82.5 cm and stands 22.5 cm high, and the body is cast aluminium powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016). Each head is closed underneath by a clear, textured diffuser of UV-stabilised polycarbonate. The plain dome form follows Scandinavian style. The pole is not included.

Installation and what to prepare

The sleeve slides onto a 60 mm pole spigot to a depth of 80 mm, so the pole has to have that top. A five-core H05VV-F 5G1 cable, 3.7 m long, leaves the luminaire and is connected inside the pole in a suitable junction box. The luminaire is protection class I and needs a protective earth conductor.

It weighs 6.38 kg (6.92 kg in its 87 × 29 × 27 cm carton), and its lateral surface is 0.2 m² — both matter when sizing the pole for weight and wind load. The inrush current is 15 A for 295 µs; per circuit breaker the manufacturer allows 18 on B10A, 29 on B16A, 30 on C10A and 49 on C16A.

Light and control

The four Philips Fortimo FastFlex modules are rated at 5480 lm together, and the luminaire emits 3825 lm at 37 W (103.4 lm/W). 4000 K is a neutral white, and CRI 70 is the colour rendering typical of lighting for paths, squares and car parks. Ledil VSM lenses spread the light symmetrically around the pole (IESNA type V), so the fitting lights a round area rather than a strip along a road.

The driver supports DALI-2 and NightDim. Dimming needs a DALI controller or system — an ordinary phase dimmer cannot replace it.

Durability, service and intended use

IP65 means the housing is dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK10 is the highest impact-resistance class. The luminaire works from −20 to +45 °C. The LED modules and driver may be replaced only by professional service; the manufacturer supplies diffuser service kit 06710000 and electrical repair kit 0911730000. Under LM-80, after more than 100,000 h the flux keeps at least 90% of its initial value (L90B10). Two heads on one pole suit parks, gardens and the grounds of hotels and restaurants.
