Norlys Nora 2497WH LED outdoor wall light white 8 W 3000 K DALI2

Nora 2497WH is a flat outdoor wall light with a square 13 × 13 cm front in cast aluminium, powder-coated white (RAL 9003). Light leaves only through the bottom edge, behind a satin glass diffuser that spreads it and hides the LEDs from view.

Size and installation

The fitting is 13 cm high and wide and projects only 5 cm from the wall, so it fits beside a door or on a narrow pillar. It is fixed with two screws through ø5 mm holes on a 63 × 112 mm pattern. It is a protection class I luminaire, so it needs a protective earth connection.

The terminals take five conductors up to 2.5 mm², and further fittings can be looped through with cable up to 5 × 1.5 mm², so a row of lights along one facade runs on a single line together with the control pair. Norlys also states how many fittings one circuit breaker carries: 46 on a B10, 74 on a B16.

Light and control

The integrated LED module draws 8 W and gives 306 lm at 3000 K, a warm white. That is a modest output, and ULOR 0% means nothing shines upwards: the fitting draws a band of light on the wall below it and lights an entrance or part of a facade, not the whole area in front of the house.

Control is by DALI2/TD over two separate control conductors, not through the mains supply. An ordinary phase-cut dimmer will not work with this fitting. The LED module and the driver are replaced by a professional service; Norlys gives an L80 lifetime of more than 102,000 hours for the LEDs and 100,000 hours for the driver.

Where it fits

IP65 allows mounting on an uncovered wall exposed to rain, and IK09 means the housing withstands a 10 J impact. Norlys intends it for lighting walls and facades. The plain square form without ornament and the smooth white finish fit a Scandinavian style.
