The Norlys Paris Small 160BL is an outdoor wall light shaped as half a dome, with a body of black powder-coated steel (RAL 9005). A satin diffuser of UV-stabilised polycarbonate closes the underside, so the light falls downwards onto the wall and the ground below the lamp. The maker describes the design as classic and simple: one smooth form with no ornament.
Dimensions and mounting on the facade
The light is 23 cm wide and 11.5 cm high and projects 14 cm from the wall. It is a small fitting, so compare these figures with the space above or beside the door, or next to the house number. It weighs 0.59 kg.
It fixes to the wall through two oval holes of 5×10 mm, 90 mm apart. The terminals take conductors up to 3×2.5 mm², and the EPDM-sealed gland takes a round cable of 7 to 10.5 mm diameter. The light can be looped through with conductors up to 3×1.5 mm², so several fittings along one facade run from a single supply line. It is a protection class I luminaire and needs a protective earth connection.
Light source and brightness
The light has an E27 socket and takes an LED lamp of up to 9 W in the A55–A60 shape, a standard pear-shaped bulb. No bulb is included. The shape limit matters in practice: a wider decorative globe or a long candle lamp will not fit under the diffuser. The user replaces the light source without a service call.
Colour and brightness depend on the bulb you choose. A lamp of around 800 lm gives as much light as an old 60 W bulb, and 2700–3000 K is warm, slightly yellowish light.
Outdoor use and spare parts
IP43 means protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm and against water sprayed at up to 60° from vertical. The light copes with rain on the wall but is not designed to be hosed down. The diffuser is sold as a spare part (service kit 06160001), so a damaged diffuser can be replaced without buying a whole new light.
