Outdoor Wall Light NORLYS Sigrid 236CO copper colour, E27, bulb not included

Sigrid 236CO is an outdoor wall light with a 25 cm cone shade hanging from a curved arm that rises out of a round 11.5 cm wall plate. The shade and body are powder-coated steel; the shade is copper-coloured, while the arm and plate are black. The manufacturer describes the form as Scandinavian: a plain cone without ornament.

Size and mounting on the façade

The light is 32 cm high and projects 33 cm from the wall – compare that reach with the width of the path or the space beside your door. The shade itself is 21 cm high. The luminaire weighs 1.8 kg.

It is fixed to the wall with the mounting box included in the set, following the supplied instructions. Available separately: a mounting spacer, corner bracket 153XX0009 for fitting on the corner of a building, and decorative M6 cap nuts in copper (136CO0009), black (136BL0009) or brass (136BR0009). The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², and up to 2 × 1.5 mm² when looped through; round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter fits the entry. The luminaire is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth.

Which lamp, and what light

No light source is included. It takes only a glass LED lamp with an E27 base in G125, G95, ST64 or A60 shape, up to 12 W. You choose the colour temperature and brightness yourself – a lamp of about 800 lm gives as much light as an old 60 W bulb. The end user replaces the lamp; no service visit is needed.

The shade covers the lamp from above, so the light falls downwards, onto the wall below and the ground, not into the sky. The luminaire has no built-in motion or dusk sensor. If the light should switch itself on, you need an E27 lamp with such a sensor – the manufacturer also offers this luminaire with a LEDVANCE motion and daylight sensor lamp (Sigrid 235).

Durability and where it fits

IP65 means protection against dust and water jets, so the light can hang on an unsheltered wall, and impact resistance IK09 protects it along footpaths. It operates from −20 to +45 °C. It suits an entrance, a house façade or a terrace.
