POLA 3xE27 pendant lamp black/gold 70 cm Keter Lighting

POLA is a pendant with three spherical shades built from bent metal hoops, close in shape to the armillary spheres of old astronomical instruments. The shades hang from a black 70 cm bar on cords of different lengths, so they settle into an irregular line.

A cage instead of a shade

The hoops hide nothing – the bulb stays visible and the light passes between the bars, throwing a pattern of circles onto the ceiling and walls. The frame is black and the lampholders are gold-toned; that is the only warm accent in the whole fitting, which is exactly why it reads.

Over a table or an island

A 70 cm long, 19 cm wide bar suits a table for four to six, or a kitchen island. The drop reaches 120 cm, so the height is set against the worktop during installation. Because the shades diffuse nothing, decorative E27 bulbs in warm amber glass are worth the outlay – here the bulb is part of the look.
