Rendl CHOIX 114 R12012 outdoor LED wall light, anthracite, up/down, 3000 K

Rendl CHOIX 114 R12012 is an anthracite outdoor wall light with a die-cast aluminium body. Its shallow rectangular front has rounded sides and conceals the LED sources. Light leaves through the top and bottom of the fitting, making the illuminated wall the focus rather than an exposed bulb.

Two directions of light

The up/down arrangement directs light in opposite directions along the mounting surface. This variant produces warm white light at 3000 K, with a manufacturer-listed luminous flux of 318 lm and colour rendering index of Ra 80. It is best understood as a local wall-lighting accent when planning an installation, not as a promise to illuminate an entire terrace. The wall colour and surface texture also affect the appearance of the light falling on it.

The R12012 technical sheet and installation manual specify LED 2 × 3 W. The LEDs are integrated and included, so there is no separate bulb to choose or purchase for this fitting. Its colour temperature is fixed at the stated 3000 K for this variant; compare that figure with other exterior lights if they will share the same facade.

A shallow profile against the wall

The manufacturer's drawing shows a width of 11.4 cm, height of 8.8 cm and projection of 2.7 cm. That small projection limits how far the body extends from its mounting surface. Before installation, compare these measurements with the available wall area and the position of the electrical supply. The plain front, rounded edges and anthracite finish support a modern or modernist setting without ornamental detailing.

Exterior placement and connection

Rendl identifies exterior walls, entrances, terraces and facades as intended locations. The IP54 rating provides limited dust protection and protection against splashing water; it does not permit immersion. CHOIX 114 operates at 230 V and includes a transformer. The installation manual requires a qualified installer and disconnection of the power supply before work begins. Plan the supply location together with the fitting's position.
