Rendl MIZZI NEW II R13643 is an anthracite outdoor wall light with a cylindrical body and a rectangular wall base. Its die-cast aluminium housing accommodates two replaceable GU10 LED lamps, pointing upwards and downwards. This is the two-direction version, rather than a fitting with a single light source at the bottom.
Up-and-down lighting with separately selected lamps
There is no integrated LED module in this fitting. Choose two GU10 LED lamps rated at no more than 8 W each. That limit applies to each lamp, not to the total consumption of the wall light. Colour temperature, light output and beam width depend on the lamps selected. An illuminated product photograph illustrates the direction of the light, but does not guarantee a particular brightness or colour temperature.
The manufacturer permits dimming with a suitable light source. If dimming is required, select dimmable lamps and controls compatible with them. The housing itself does not determine the light colour, so compare the specifications of the chosen lamps when using several fittings together.
Dimensions and connection at the wall
The body is 16.6 cm high and 6.5 cm in diameter, while the overall projection from the wall is 10 cm. The mounting base measures 9 cm high by 6.4 cm wide. Before choosing its position, check the base footprint as well as the overall height and the space occupied in front of the wall.
The fitting connects to a 230 V AC supply without an external step-down transformer. The installation instructions show a protective earth connection and require a qualified installer to carry out the work with the power disconnected. They also specify a minimum distance of 0.5 m from the illuminated object.
A restrained shape for facade lighting
Its IP65 rating and specified outdoor use support installation on a facade, beside an entrance or on a terrace or balcony wall. Light travels along the wall rather than spreading diffusely in every direction. The smooth cylinder, compact base and anthracite finish suit modern, modernist and minimalist designs. The visible lighting feature is the pair of light patterns above and below the body.
