Rendl SONET R11170 is an anthracite outdoor wall light with an integrated LED source. Its closed, rounded upper body and downward-facing opening direct the light below the fitting rather than creating an up-and-down effect. The cylindrical outline has no decorative arms, making it a considered choice for modern and minimalist façades.

Choose a wall and the area beneath it

The manufacturer specifies wall mounting only. SONET can be considered beside an entrance, on a terrace or balcony wall, or on a masonry boundary wall. In each case, position the fitting according to the area that needs downward light. The same approach suits exterior areas of hotels and restaurants where a small wall-mounted light point is needed.

IP54 provides limited protection against dust and protection against splashing water. It does not permit immersion or unrestricted mounting positions. This is not a freestanding garden light, nor should one fitting be treated as a way to illuminate an entire driveway.

Warm-white light without a separate bulb

The LED source is built into the fitting, so there is no separate screw-base bulb to select. Its power is 7 W and the stated luminous flux is 490 lm. The 3000 K colour temperature produces warm-white light; compare this with other lights on the same façade when planning a coordinated installation. Manufacturer photographs show the downward distribution, but do not establish the required spacing between several fittings.

Check the projection before installation

The exact dimensional drawing gives a diameter of 88 mm and a wall projection of 142 mm, equivalent to 8.8 and 14.2 cm. Check that projection against a door reveal and the path of an opening door before choosing a position. The fitting uses a 230 V supply and includes its transformer.
