Rendl Sonet 450 Anthracite LED Outdoor Floor Lamp IP54 3000K R11171 Promo CODE - LUN18 until the end of Oct 28

Rendl SONET 450 R11171 is an anthracite-grey garden bollard with a round body and a deep vertical recess. Its LED sits beneath the upper cap, directing light down into the open section. This gives it a different appearance from bollards with a milky diffuser that lights up around the full circumference.

A low light point beside a path

At 45 cm high, SONET 450 lets you plan lighting close to the walking surface rather than using a tall garden lantern. Rendl identifies paths and pavements as its intended use. It can form part of a lighting scheme for an approach to the house, a garden walkway or a passage beside a terrace where the route needs to be defined.

Compare the bollard height with nearby planting before choosing its position. The open face needs to be considered in the layout, since the body shape and light direction affect the section of ground being illuminated. A narrow body does not, by itself, establish the correct spacing between fittings.

Integrated warm-white LED

The R11171 variant incorporates a 7 W LED source with a stated output of 477 lm. Its 3000 K colour temperature describes warm-white light, while the 55° beam angle describes the spread. The light source is part of the fitting, so there is no separate screw-in bulb to select.

When planning several bollards, consider both each fitting's output and the direction it faces. This is low-level lighting for circulation areas, not an elevated light point intended to illuminate an entire plot evenly. The layout should therefore respond to the actual path and its surroundings.

Outdoor installation and a restrained shape

The fitting operates at 230 V and has an IP54 rating. Rendl confirms that the transformer is included. The installation instructions require a qualified installer and isolation of the power supply before work begins. A plain cylinder, anthracite finish and absence of decorative arms give SONET 450 a modern, modernist character. Alongside straight path edging, its open recess remains the defining design detail.
