Rendl JOLI Directional Table Lamp Black GU10 LED max. 10 W

The Rendl JOLI is a black plastic table lamp with a directional spot head on a curved arm. The manufacturer designed it for work lighting: the head is aimed so the light falls on the worktop rather than across the whole room. No light source is included.

How much desk space it takes

The base is round and 14 cm across - that is the footprint on a desk or a bedside table. The lamp stands 35 cm tall and weighs 0.77 kg, so it moves with one hand. The head itself is 7.5 cm in diameter and 8.9 cm long, low enough not to block the view across the worktop.

The cable runs 160 cm from the base to the plug - a distance to compare with the gap between your desk and the nearest socket.

What light it gives and what you need to buy

The lamp has one light point with a GU10 socket and runs straight off 230 V mains, with no transformer. The manufacturer specifies GU10 LED sources only, up to 10 W - that is the ceiling for this fitting, not the lamp's own consumption. Rendl names article G11841 as the matching source.

No bulb is supplied, so you choose colour and brightness with the source: desk work usually calls for neutral 4000 K, evening reading for warm 2700-3000 K. The head is directional, so the light stays where you point it instead of spreading through the room.

Switch and build

The lamp is switched on the cable, so you never reach for the head or the socket. Base, arm and head are all moulded plastic in a single black finish.

Which interiors it suits

The form is modern: a plain cylindrical head with no ornament and a smooth curved arm in the same colour as the base. A lamp like this goes over a desk, into a study or an office, and equally onto a bedside table, into a child's room or a reading corner - wherever the light should cover one spot rather than a whole room.
