Rendl NOVA R14274 is a white LED table lamp with a cylindrical head, a chrome detail and a frosted acrylic diffuser. Its slender upright stem and flat circular base give it a restrained outline, with a compact head rather than a large shade. This is the white version of the NOVA family and has an integrated light source.
Local light beside a desk or book
The LED module is rated at 4.2 W, with a luminous flux of 425 lm and a colour temperature of 3000 K. This produces warm white light, an important distinction when combining the lamp with other lighting in the room. The frosted diffuser spreads light across its surface rather than leaving the source exposed. NOVA can provide local illumination beside a desk or reading position, but it is not a replacement for a whole-room lighting plan.
The LED source is already part of the lamp, so there is no separate E27 or GU10 bulb to choose. The manufacturer specifies a colour rendering index of Ra 80. For reading, the distance between the head and the page and the surrounding lighting also matter; the lumen figure alone does not determine illumination on the book.
Height, cable reach and switching
The manufacturer's product page gives a height of 40.5 cm and a head diameter of 7.5 cm. Compare the height with the space above a shelf, bedside table or work surface before choosing its position. The cable measures 150 cm. Allow for its actual route to the socket, including the section running behind furniture, rather than relying only on a straight-line distance.
The switch is on the cable and the lamp uses a 230 V supply. The manufacturer confirms that the transformer is included. Position the cable switch where it remains reachable from your seat instead of hiding it behind the desk.
Before connecting the lamp, screw the base into place as shown in the manual. Keep at least 20 cm between the head and the illuminated object, and handle the diffuser carefully.
A white finish with a chrome accent
The circular base, narrow stem and compact head suit modern and minimalist interiors. The cylindrical spotlight shape and chrome detail also reference retro table lamps. NOVA can serve as supplementary lighting on furniture in a living room or bedroom, or as a separate lamp beside a defined work area in a study.
