Sigma Robin 50251 table lamp – a steel frame with a timber detail

At 45 cm high, Robin has a strongly architectural outline. A black rectangular profile rises from the flat square base and turns through a right angle above the shade. The cylindrical lampholder is suspended beneath this upper arm, while a shallow brown plywood frame surrounds the bulb. Exposed corner joints reveal the layered construction of the timber. The bulb projects below the frame and therefore contributes directly to the lamp’s appearance.

The shade is open underneath, allowing light to reach the surface below while the wooden frame screens it from the sides. Robin can sit beside a bed, on a console or on a larger desk where a decorative pool of light is wanted. As the bulb remains exposed, its shape and colour temperature should be selected deliberately to complement the fixture.
