TEKKNI M22 is a flat polycarbonate cover in a frosted finish that slides into an aluminium LED profile over the strip mounted inside it. It is sold in a 3 m length. The profile and the strip are separate purchases — this is the cover alone.
Which profiles it fits
The M22 shape fits three TEKKNI profiles: EGEN, HORST and TVED. Covers are not chosen by family or by strip width but by that shape code — a profile outside those three needs a cover with a different cross-section, even if it looks similar.
The length is 3 m, and the same cover is also made in a 2.02 m version. The length is matched to the profile it has to close, so on a longer run it is worth working out how many metres of cover it comes to before ordering the profile.
How much light it lets through
The frosted version transmits 76% of the strip's light. For comparison, the same cover transmits 88% in the transparent version and 58% in the milky one — those three figures are the whole of the choice you make when buying a cover.
76% means you lose about a quarter of the strip's output, and in exchange the individual diodes stop being visible as dots and the line lights evenly along its whole length. Transparent returns more light and shows the dots; milky diffuses them best and takes the most away.
What it covers and what it is made of
The cover is made of polycarbonate (PC). Pushed into the profile it closes it along its whole length, so the strip and the wiring are out of sight and dust does not get inside.
