TEKKNI TVED 38-1420-30 is a 3 m silver LED profile kit designed to sit in a routed recess. It pairs an aluminium channel with an opal M22 polycarbonate cover. The wide interior accommodates two LED strips running side by side rather than a replaceable bulb in a lampholder.
Check the cross-section before routing
The profile measures 28.2 mm across its full width and 10 mm in height. The body below the side flanges is 23.6 mm wide, while the internal space measures 22 mm. These dimensions serve different purposes: the overall width includes the edges that overlap the recess, whereas the internal measurement describes the space available for strips. Compare the manufacturer's section drawing with the proposed groove and the thickness of the furniture panel before preparing it.
The manufacturer illustrates fixing with double-sided tape. This is a recessed channel, so it requires a different layout from a strip mounted entirely on a surface. The power supply sits outside the profile; allow for its location and the cable route when planning the installation.
What the silver kit contains
The kit includes one TVED profile, one M22 cover and four plastic TVED end caps. Article 38-1420-30 identifies the 3 m silver version with an opal cover, not the clear or frosted alternative. LED strips and a power supply are not part of this profile kit and must be selected separately for the installation.
A linear detail for cabinetry
The straight channel and narrow side edges suit modern, minimalist joinery. It can be used when designing shelf and cabinet lighting, including beneath kitchen cabinets. Light colour, brightness and control options depend on the chosen LED strips and associated equipment, not on the silver finish of the profile.
