Trujillo LE71454 is a small outdoor spotlight: a black aluminium cylinder 42 mm across and 70 mm long, closed at the front with glass. The body sits on a knuckle bolted to a flat base plate with a fixing hole, so once it is mounted it tilts and aims the light where it is wanted. Depending on the tilt angle the fitting stands between 5.5 and 8 cm tall.
How much light it gives, and for what
The built-in LED module draws 3 W and puts out 180 lm at 3000 K. That is a quarter of an old 60 W bulb — the spot will not light a driveway or a terrace, but it is tight enough to pick out a shrub, a tree trunk, a stretch of wall or a sign by the door.
3000 K is warm white: on render and stone it gives a soft yellowish tone, closer to a classic bulb than to street lighting. Green foliage reads warmer under it than under 4000 K.
Mounting and supply
The fitting fixes to the surface through the hole in the base plate, and the knuckle between plate and body is set with a screw on the side. The aim can therefore be corrected after dark, when the effect is visible, without taking anything apart.
Supply is 230 V, that is mains voltage — the spot connects straight to the installation and needs none of the low-voltage transformer that most 12 V garden spots require. The light source is included and permanently built in: no bulb is bought for it and it cannot be replaced.
Build and outdoor use
Body, knuckle and base plate are aluminium, the front lens is glass. IP65 means fully dust-tight and resistant to water jets from any direction, so the spot can sit somewhere fully exposed to rain, and watering the garden with a hose does it no harm.
