ZAHO Lighting: architectural LED luminaires made in Poland
ZAHO Lighting is a Polish lighting manufacturer based in Elbląg. It belongs to the Liralighting Group, which joins two companies: ZAHO, focused on design-led lighting, and Lira Lighting, which specialises in architectural luminaires with high lighting performance. All ZAHO products are designed and made in the group's own factory in Poland, which gives the company control over the whole production process, and prototypes are tested in its own laboratory. The brand works closely with architects and interior designers on homes, offices, hotels and other projects, and offers help from luminaire selection and lighting calculations through to commissioning.
Design language
ZAHO luminaires are compact, minimal LED fittings – downlights, recessed spots and slim wall lights – in which the light itself does most of the work. Many families come as a set of related pieces under one name: the RID family, for example, spans recessed spots and wall lights, and LUNA comes as several versions of wall light. Downlights can be configured in white, black, grey or gold, and the maker credits the ZUZU collection to the interior designer ZOU ZOU. Alongside these, ZAHO makes acoustic luminaires with PET-felt bodies, a configurable Z60 system and magnetic 48 V track.
ZAHO at Lunares
At Lunares you will find ZAHO recessed lights: small spots and downlights for plasterboard ceilings. Next to them are slim wall lights, spotlights and designer pendant lights.
What to check when choosing ZAHO
-
Colour temperature. ZAHO fittings are built with integrated LEDs in set colour temperatures such as 2700 K, 3000 K or 4000 K. Warm 2700 K suits living rooms and bedrooms; 4000 K is better for work areas.
-
Beam angle. Recessed spots come with different optics. A narrow beam picks out a picture or a worktop, while a wider beam of around 55–60° gives more even ceiling light.
-
Control. Depending on the version, the electronics are simple ON/OFF, DALI for building systems or Casambi for wireless control from a phone. Choose the version before installation, because it decides how the light can be dimmed.
-
Cut-out and ceiling depth. For recessed fittings, check the cut-out diameter and the installation depth against the void above your ceiling.
-
Colour rendering. ZAHO treats CRI as a selection criterion. A higher value shows skin, wood and fabrics more naturally.
