Aldex Nature Cross L 1123G_L is a pendant light with a 45 cm shade made from crossing beechwood strips. Two layers run in opposite directions, forming a rounded, open lattice rather than a solid enclosure. The natural wood tone contrasts with the black suspension, while the woven structure remains visible from below.

A shade with an open structure

The manufacturer specifies raw, untreated beech veneer for the shade and a combination of wood and metal for the fitting. Gaps between the strips are part of its design: this is not an opaque shade that hides the light source behind a continuous surface. Above a dining table, consider how the weave will look both from a seated position and from the room entrance.

Its natural material and rounded profile work with Scandinavian and boho interiors, while the ordered pattern can also sit within a modern dining area. The crossing strips already provide a distinct decorative element, so nearby furnishings need not repeat the same intricate pattern.

Check the suspension space

Width and depth are both 45 cm. The fixed element measures 30 cm in height, and the manufacturer's stated overall height is 200 cm. Compare these measurements with your ceiling height, tabletop and the clearance needed underneath before installation. The official specification allows the suspension length to be adapted by an electrician; this should not be confused with a daily rise-and-fall mechanism.

Choose the E27 light source

The fitting takes one E27 LED bulb rated at no more than 15 W. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the bulb you select, rather than being fixed by the wooden shade. Consider it over a dining table or in a living-room seating area or bedroom. In a kitchen, its decorative open shade makes more sense over the table than as a substitute for dedicated worktop lighting. When planning several pendants, allow for the full width of each shade and suitable spacing between them.
