Asker Small Down MD1532GB LED outdoor wall light with motion sensor, 8.4 W, 4000 K, IP65, beige grey RAL 7006 – NORLYS

Asker Small Down MD1532GB is a box-shaped outdoor wall light, 22.5 cm wide, that projects 8.5 cm from the wall. The cast aluminium body is powder-coated in beige grey RAL 7006, and a clear, textured lens of UV-stabilised polycarbonate closes the underside. Inside sit an integrated LED module and a microwave motion sensor.

How the Asker Small Down lights

Light leaves only through the bottom and spreads in a downward half-sphere onto the wall and a strip of ground below. The manufacturer states ULOR 0% and a BUG rating of B0-U0-G0, so nothing shines into the sky, which matters when there are windows above the light or where a dark night sky is wanted.

The LED module produces 874 lm and 446 lm leave the luminaire at 8.4 W. That is enough for a section of wall and the ground beneath it, not a whole yard. 4000 K is neutral white, and CRI 80 renders façade colours correctly.

Motion sensor and its settings

The microwave sensor switches the light on when it detects movement and has a daylight cut-off and an adjustable hold time. Factory settings are full detection area, a 5-second hold and the daylight sensor switched off, so without adjustment the light also reacts by day and goes out a few seconds after movement stops. The manufacturer expects the settings to be adjusted to your needs after installation.

Installation and servicing

The light weighs 1.44 kg and fixes to the wall through two ø4.5 mm holes spaced 180 × 60 mm. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm² and allow looping through to the next luminaire with up to 3 × 1.5 mm². According to the manufacturer, up to 158 of these lights can run on one B 10 A circuit breaker and up to 250 on B 16 A. It is protection class I, so it needs an earth conductor and installation by an electrician.

IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, and IK08 means impact resistance. The LED module is replaced by a professional service (service kit ZS1532zx0009). The plain, unornamented form matches the Scandinavian, minimalist character of the Asker series.
