ASPE is a floor lamp shaped as a flat, slim bar rising vertically from a square base plate. The body is white and matt throughout. Light leaves it as a narrow strip along the front edge of the bar — in the photographs it reads as one continuous line, while the rest of the profile stays white.
How much room it takes and what it is made of
The lamp stands 182 cm tall and its base is a flat 24 × 24 cm square. That is its footprint on the floor — a measurement to compare with the free space left by a wall, in a corner or beside a sofa. The bar itself is clearly narrower than the base, so above the plate the lamp barely occupies any space.
The body combines aluminium and steel. The aluminium profile carries heat away from the built-in LED module, and the flat steel plate acts as the weight that holds the slim bar upright. The plate rests flat on the floor, with no fixing of any kind.
What the light is like
The source is an integrated LED module rated 30 W, giving 1202 lm at 3000 K. That is a warm, yellowish white — the tone familiar from traditional incandescent bulbs, so the light does not push the colours of the room towards cool.
The module is built in and comes with the lamp, so there is no bulb to buy. The other side of that is that it cannot be swapped out at home once it reaches the end of its life — replacement is a service job. The output spreads along the whole length of the lit edge rather than from a single point, which makes it diffuse supplementary light, not a focused reading beam.
Power and switching
The lamp runs from an external plug-in power supply that goes into an ordinary 230 V socket. On the cable between the supply and the base sits a round foot switch — the lamp is turned on with a foot, without reaching down to the socket.
The IP20 rating means protection only against touching live parts, with no resistance to water at all. It is a lamp for dry interiors — not for a terrace and not for a bathroom.
