Astrid 2201GB is a 55 cm LED bollard made from an extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in beige grey (RAL 7006). Its footprint is a rounded square of 14 × 14 cm, and vertical flutes run the full height of the body. The light leaves through an opal PMMA diffuser that spreads it.
Where it goes and how it is fixed
At 55 cm, Astrid lights what happens near the ground: the edge of a path, the steps by a terrace, the entrance to a driveway. IP65 means it withstands water jets and dust, so it stands outdoors with no cover at all, and the IK10 rating – the top of the impact-resistance scale – matters where a car or a mower passes close by.
The bollard is bolted down through three ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. Ground fixings are bought separately: a concrete-in anchor (205), a ground anchor (206), a concrete-foundation adapter (206S) or the 3080GA mounting adapter. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow the supply to be looped from bollard to bollard; the manufacturer states that up to 74 of these luminaires fit on one B16 breaker.
What light it gives
The integrated LED module shines at 3000 K, a warm white, with CRI 80. The luminaire delivers 208 lm at 10.6 W – a soft orientation light that marks paths and edges rather than lighting the whole garden. The light source is included; the LED module and driver are replaced only by a professional service, and the manufacturer gives an LED life of over 70,000 h (L80B50).
Version 2201 has a DALI2 driver: dimming and control require an installation with a DALI bus. Within the Astrid family the same body also comes in 2700 K and 4000 K, in an 85 cm height and in eight finish colours.
