This adapter from Elstead Lighting's Bronze garden family is used to point a spotlight downwards. It is a small cast-bronze connector bent at a right angle, with a female thread at one end and a male thread at the other. The surface is chemically treated to give an Aged Bronze finish.
Size and use
The adapter is 70 mm high and 25 mm in diameter. It is made for outdoor installation and belongs to the Bronze family, whose fittings run on the 12 V Plug & Go low-voltage system — you pair it with spotlights from that range when the light should fall downwards rather than straight ahead.
The adapter contains no light source; it is a mounting part, and the spotlight is bought separately. The same family also offers a version in a Verdigris finish, a green patina.
