COLMENAR Surface-Mounted LED Spotlight Luces Exclusivas LE61472 White

COLMENAR LE61472 is a surface-mounted LED spotlight with a white aluminium body. Its cylindrical head, 6.3 cm across, sits on a flat bracket below a round base, and the light source is set deep inside a black ribbed baffle at the mouth of the tube.

Size and mounting

The whole fitting is 17 cm tall and the head is 6.3 cm in diameter. The base screws straight onto the surface, so the spotlight needs neither a ceiling cut-out nor a track system and suits places where there is no room for a recessed fitting, such as under a concrete slab. It runs on 230 V and connects to the ordinary lighting circuit.

What light it gives

The LED module is built in and draws 10 W. It is included, but it cannot be swapped like a bulb. The manufacturer states 900 lm, slightly more than an old 60 W bulb, and 3000 K — a warm white that sits well with other warm light sources in the same room.

Light leaves only through the front of the tube, so the spotlight lights a chosen area — a wall, a picture, a worktop — rather than the whole room. The deeply recessed source inside the black baffle cuts glare when the fitting is seen from the side.

Finish and versions

The body is white aluminium; against a white ceiling the base almost disappears and mainly the tube stays visible. The same model at the same price comes in black as LE61477, so the colour can be matched to the ceiling or to the other fittings in the room.
