End cap for the LUMINES D LED profile in the Basic version, without a hole, in inox. It is a small ABS part that presses into the open end of the profile and closes it off at the face. The inox shade matches the anodised inox finish of the D profile itself.
Which profile and which build-up it belongs to
The part is made for the LUMINES D profile — a compact surface-mounted profile with a 16 × 6.3 mm cross-section that takes LED strip up to 12 mm wide. The outline of the cap reproduces that exact cross-section, so it does not fit profiles of other types.
The manufacturer splits the D end caps into two heights: Basic and High. This is the Basic version, for the profile built up with the BASIC cover. A profile closed with the taller HIGH cover needs the High cap, which is a separate article under a different code.
The no-hole version, and which end of the profile it closes
The cap is solid, with no gland for a cable. In the manufacturer's assembly diagram the D profile is closed at one end with a cap that has a hole, through which the strip's supply cable leaves, and at the other with a cap without one.
This piece is that second, closed end. If the cable is to leave through the face of the profile, the version with a hole is the one needed, and it is sold under a separate code.
How it is made
The cap is moulded from ABS and is fitted by pressing it into the face of the profile. The surface is matt in an inox shade, so the end of the run stays consistent in colour with the profile body.
