Endon Delphine Table Lamp Silver Leaf, Ivory Shade 55 cm E27 98046

Endon Delphine 98046 is a table lamp whose base is made of layered metal leaves in a silver-leaf finish, gathered into a flower shape on a round foot. It carries an ivory shade in 100% cotton fabric. The ornate, shiny base is a clear glamour accent.

Size and placement

The lamp is 55 cm tall and the shade is 35.5 cm across. A shade that size needs a surface wider than itself – compare it with the bedside table, chest of drawers or side table it is meant for. It weighs 2.2 kg.

Power comes through a 1.5 m black flex with an inline on/off switch. The socket therefore needs to be within 1.5 m of where the lamp stands, and the light can be switched on without reaching under the shade. Delphine is protection class II, so it needs no earth connection.

Bulb and light

The lamp has one E27 lampholder for an LED bulb of up to 10 W. The bulb is not included. Endon pairs this model with a classic GLS-shaped LED filament bulb – a filament visible from below the shade suits the ornate base. A 10 W LED bulb gives roughly as much light as an old 60 W incandescent.

The cotton shade lets light through softly, and its open top and bottom send part of the light onto the ceiling and onto the surface below the lamp.
