Endon Dimple 97978 Floor Lamp, Chrome and Smoked Glass, 150 cm, E27

Endon Dimple 97978 is a single-light floor lamp with a rounded shade in smoked, mirrored glass. Indentations across the glass surface contrast with the polished chrome finish of its steel frame, curved upper arm and circular base.

A shade that leaves the bulb visible

This version uses smoked glass rather than clear or opal glass. The bulb remains visible through the tinted surface, making its shape part of the lamp's appearance. When choosing a light source, consider the bulb design as well as its brightness and colour temperature. The manufacturer identifies LED filament bulbs as a suitable choice for this fitting.

The chrome and textured glass introduce reflections rather than a uniform matt surface. A restrained metal frame paired with a decorative shade gives Dimple its modern classic character. It can also complement a contemporary interior that repeats glass objects and polished metal details, without bringing a large fabric shade into the arrangement.

Allowing space beside a seat or bed

The lamp measures 150 cm high, 25 cm wide and 28 cm deep. Its base is 25 cm in diameter and the shade is 20 cm in diameter. Compare those measurements with the available space beside an armchair, sofa or bed, and leave access to the switch on the cable. The base diameter alone does not describe the full footprint of the upper arm and shade.

Use it as an additional light point in a living room, bedroom or hotel seating area, rather than assuming it will illuminate an entire room. The instructions require a stable, flat surface and explicitly exclude bathroom use.

A separate bulb and foot-switch control

One E27 LED bulb rated at a maximum of 10 W is required and is not supplied. Brightness and light colour depend on the bulb you buy; 806 lm is not a fixed output of this fitting. The black cable has a total length of 2 m and includes an inline foot switch. The manufacturer specifies the lamp as non-dimmable.

Disconnect the power before cleaning or replacing the bulb, and allow the light source to cool. The instructions specify a dry cloth only, without liquid or abrasive cleaning products.
