Fabbian Faretti Tondo recessed ceiling light GU5.3, white, 13 cm – D27F6201

Fabbian Faretti Tondo D27F6201 is a recessed ceiling light with a white satin crystal-glass diffuser. Its rounded circular ring surrounds the central light opening and projects below the ceiling rather than sitting flush with it. Designed by Pamio Design, it gives a ceiling spotlight a clearly visible glass outline.

Plan the cut-out separately from the glass diameter

The overall diameter is 13 cm, while the mounting cut-out is 10 cm. These measurements serve different purposes: use the cut-out dimension when preparing the ceiling, not the width of the visible ring. The manufacturer's drawing shows a 10.5 cm section above the ceiling plane and a 3.5 cm projection below it.

Compare those dimensions with the available ceiling void before installation. The instructions require at least 50 mm between the body and the side walls of the recess. Insulating material must not cover the fitting, and illuminated objects must be at least 0.5 m away.

A replaceable bulb and a separate transformer

The fitting takes one replaceable GU5.3 light source operating at 12 V. Fabbian lists a 7 W LED configuration and a maximum permitted bulb rating of 50 W. Neither the bulb nor the transformer is supplied, so both need to be selected separately with their mutual compatibility in mind. This is not a fitting for direct connection to mains voltage.

The technical sheet specifies phase-cut dimming from 30–100%. For a dimmable installation, check that the chosen bulb, transformer and dimmer work together. Actual brightness and colour temperature depend on the bulb fitted; the glass housing alone does not provide a fixed light output.

A circular detail for contemporary ceilings

The smooth white ring, without decorative arms, suits modern and minimalist arrangements of ceiling spotlights. It can form part of a living-room, bedroom, dining-room or hallway lighting plan, with the number and spacing of fittings chosen for the room. The installation instructions exclude outdoor use and humid environments. Code D27F6201 identifies the white version rather than the transparent Faretti Tondo alternatives.
