Flamingo LED table lamp - White Elstead

Flamingo is a decorative LED table lamp from Elstead Lighting's own range, its body shaped into the silhouette of a flamingo: a slim neck ending in a head with a black beak, a loop where the body would be and a straight leg set into a round black base. The white steel profile hides an LED strip under a PVC diffuser, so the whole outline of the bird lights up.

Size and placement

The lamp is 50 cm high and the base is 15 cm across — a footprint to compare with the free space on a side table, chest of drawers or desk. It weighs 1.4 kg. It runs from a wall socket via a plug, and the switch sits on the cable, so there is no need to reach for the lamp itself to turn it on.

What kind of light it gives

The light source is an integrated LED module, included and needing no bulb; it cannot be swapped like an ordinary bulb either. It gives 3000 K light, a warm white. Because the light comes from the whole curved profile rather than from a shade pointing down, the lamp works mainly as a glowing decoration and mood light, not as a reading or task lamp. It is not dimmable.

Finish and variants

In this version the profile is white, with a black beak and base. The manufacturer specifies it for indoor use. The same Flamingo lamp is also available in black and in pink.
