Gea Luce GES2001N Recessed LED Step Light 13 W 4000 K, Anthracite, IP65

Gea Luce GES2001N is a recessed step light designed for outdoor installation. Its rectangular aluminium face has a grey-anthracite finish and a narrow light opening beneath a shaped shield. A white polycarbonate diffuser sits within the dark housing. The restrained, straight-edged design suits modern and minimalist architecture.

Neutral white light along the steps

The integrated 13 W LED module produces 4000 K neutral white light. Gea Luce specifies a luminous flux of 561 lm and indirect distribution with an 83° beam angle. This is a fitting for marking steps and circulation routes rather than an adjustable spotlight aimed at an individual object. When planning a row of fittings, consider the shape of the steps and the position of each recess together.

GES2001N uses on/off operation and is not dimmable. Both the LED module and transformer are included, so there is no separate screw-in bulb to select. The 4000 K specification belongs to this particular N variant, an important distinction when combining several units in one installation.

Check the recess before finishing the wall

The visible face measures 250 mm wide and 98 mm high. The manufacturer's drawing specifies a mounting opening of 235 × 85 mm with a depth of 84 mm. The supplied recess box has external dimensions of 249 × 95 mm. Compare these measurements with the planned wall opening before the surrounding finish is completed: the front panel size is not the cut-out size.

Outdoor mounting and care

The manufacturer's outdoor designation and IP65 rating support its use in a lighting scheme for steps beside a building. The fitting requires a 220–240 V AC supply and a protective earth connection as a Class I appliance. Installation and assembly must be carried out by qualified personnel following the manufacturer's instructions. Disconnect the mains before any work. For cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild detergent, then dry gently with a soft cloth. Do not expose cables or electrical components to water or cleaning solution.
