GIRONTO Concrete Pendant Light White 50 cm E27 Luces Exclusivas LE45302

GIRONTO LE45302 is a pendant light with a white concrete shade shaped as a flat, ribbed dome. Vertical ribs run from the crown to the rim of the shade, and the inside is smooth and white as well. Above the shade there is only a slim suspension and a small white ceiling canopy.

Size and hanging it over a table

The shade is 50 cm in diameter and 15.4 cm high, and the canopy measures 12.4 cm across and 5.4 cm high. The shade diameter is the figure to compare with the width of your own table, because the light is intended to hang directly over one.

According to the manufacturer's drawing the overall height of the light is 200 cm. The lower edge of a shade is usually hung 70–80 cm above the table top, so with a 75 cm high table the shade should end about 145–155 cm above the floor. That figure and the ceiling height of the room are what the light's 200 cm needs to be checked against before buying.

Bulb and light

The light has one E27 lampholder and takes a bulb of up to 12 W. The bulb is not included, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself; over a dining table 2700–3000 K is the usual choice, a warm, slightly yellow light.

The concrete shade lets no light through, so all of it falls downwards onto the table top below, while the dome itself stays a uniform white. The plain form without decoration, with the rhythm of the ribs as its only detail, suits modern interiors.
