Nordlux Glossy 2020505001 is a decorative table lamp created by Maria Berntsen for Design For The People. Its composed silhouette pairs an opal-white glass shade with a marble base and brushed-brass details. It makes a considered accent even when switched off, then gives a soft, diffused light when a bulb is fitted.
Materials and light
The glossy opal glass surrounds a replaceable E27 light source. A bulb is not included, so the colour temperature and output can be chosen for the intended mood; the manufacturer specifies a maximum of 15 W. Marble is a natural material, and its veining, tones and patterns vary from one lamp to another. Those small differences are part of the character of this model rather than a fault.

A place for Glossy
This Scandinavian table lamp is well suited to a side table by a sofa, a substantial bedside cabinet, a console or a desk in a study. Its broad shade softens the direct view of the bulb, making Glossy a natural choice for relaxed evening light beside an armchair or for a decorative pool of light in a bedroom. Marble and brass give the clean form a more refined presence without making it ornate. The lamp is intended for indoor use and is not dimmable.
Choosing the E27 bulb is part of shaping the result: a warm tone emphasises the evening character of the glass, while a brighter bulb can support reading. The long cable makes it easier to position the lamp where the light is wanted without reorganising the furniture around it.
