Fiore is a children's ceiling light shaped like a five-petal flower, painted yellow, with a white oval cover in the middle. The fitting sits flush against the ceiling — there is no suspension or cable, so it does not hang down into the room.
How much ceiling it takes up
The flower measures 33 cm each way, and the manufacturer gives the fitting a height of 20 cm. The first figure is the one to compare with the clear area of your ceiling; the second decides how far the light reaches into the room, which matters in a low attic bedroom.
Because the fitting sits at the ceiling, it throws light broadly downwards and stays out of a standing child's line of sight. It mounts on a ceiling box rather than on a hook.
How it lights
A single built-in LED module works inside the fitting — there is no thread for a bulb, so the source is not bought separately and cannot be replaced; once it reaches its end the whole fitting is changed. Light leaves through the white cover at the centre of the flower, while the yellow petals stay opaque and form a coloured border around it. The fitting runs on 230 V.
What it is made of
The body is wood. The manufacturer states it is painted with water-based paints carrying a safety certificate — worth knowing for a room where the light hangs over a bed or a play corner. Fiore comes in several colour versions, and the manufacturer runs the same motif as a pendant light as well.
