The KORSA 14130-55 is an LED ceiling light from Germany's Neuhaus group, built from three lit elements: a ring and two straight bars crossing it at the level of the round base. The metal has a steel-coloured finish, and light leaves through frosted diffusers along the full length of the ring and bars.
Size and mounting
The fitting is 42.5 cm long and 31 cm wide and projects only 4.5 cm from the ceiling, so it does not make a room feel lower and suits low ceilings too. What fixes to the ceiling is a round base 15 cm across, carrying the bars and ring. The light weighs just under 0.6 kg.
How much light it gives
The source is a built-in LED module – there is no lampholder and no bulb to change, and the light works as soon as it is connected. It draws 20 W and, by the maker's measurement, emits 1100 lm; the LED board itself is rated at 2100 lm, but the diffusers hold part of that back. That is more than an old 60 W bulb at roughly 800 lm. At 3000 K the light is a warm white that sits well in a living room or bedroom.
Simply Dim dimming
The light dims from an ordinary wall switch with no extra dimmer: flicking it again within about three seconds starts stepless dimming from 100 to 10% brightness. A memory function restores the last setting, even after the power has been disconnected. The fitting must not be connected through a phase-cut dimmer – dimming happens electronically in the driver, which a dimmer could damage.
It is intended for indoor use (IP20) and is protection class II, so no earth conductor is needed.
