LED Labs PURE 16-3004-01 is a five-metre LED strip with 320 SMD 2835 LEDs for building a linear lighting installation. The manufacturer previously described the same variant as PRO 5Y. It produces cool white light at 6500 K, with a colour rendering index of at least CRI 90.
A fixed cool white rather than colour-changing light
Output is specified as 687 lm per metre. This makes it possible to compare strips over the same length, rather than confusing a per-metre figure with the output of a complete reel. Check how the 6500 K colour temperature relates to other lights in the planned installation. This is not an RGB strip or a tunable-white version: its white light has a fixed colour temperature.
CRI 90 is relevant when illuminating coloured objects and displays. The manufacturer lists decorative indoor lighting as well as advertising, shop, office and garage applications. In these settings, the strip is a component of a designed lighting arrangement, not a ready-to-connect luminaire that automatically replaces the lighting for an entire room.
Plan the cut lengths and profile together
The PCB is 10 mm wide, so compare that measurement with the usable space inside the chosen profile. Cutting sections are 125 mm long; individual runs should be planned around this interval. There are 64 LEDs per metre. That density alone does not guarantee an unbroken line behind any cover: the profile and diffuser also affect whether individual points remain visible. Tesa 4965 mounting tape is fitted to the strip.
Power supply and compatible dimming
The strip requires 24 V DC. At 6 W/m, the complete 5 m length draws 30 W. Allowing the manufacturer's recommended 10% reserve gives a minimum power-supply rating of 33 W. Do not connect the strip directly to mains electricity. The EPREL sheet permits dimming only with suitable dimmers, so the controller must be appropriate for this light source and its low-voltage installation.
