LED profile LUMINES type akin black anodized 1 m

LUMINES akin 10-1412-10 is a 1 m black anodised aluminium profile for recessed installation in plasterboard. Its broad side flanges are designed to be plastered over, while the recessed central channel accommodates LED strips. This is a component for building linear lighting, not a complete luminaire with a fixed wattage or light colour.

Allow for the whole cross-section

The profile measures 74.1 mm across the flanges and 23.4 mm in height. These overall dimensions should not be confused with the central channel: the drawing specifies an internal width of 28.3 mm and an external base width of 30.1 mm. That distinction matters when preparing the gap between plasterboard panels. Plan the 1000 mm section into the construction before finishing the surrounding surface.

Once the flanges are plastered in, they become part of the wall or ceiling plane. The layout of the light line therefore takes precedence over a projecting lamp body. This architectural approach suits modern and minimalist interiors where lighting is integrated into the construction rather than attached as a separate decorative fitting.

Build around the akin system

The technical sheet allows for two LED strips, each up to 12 mm wide. The compatible cover is MIDI, with Fractal OPAL, CLEAR and black versions listed by the manufacturer. Choose a suitable cover and matching end caps for the planned installation. Assembly diagrams explain how these components fit together; they do not establish the contents of a single supplied kit.

The power supply sits outside the profile. Brightness, colour temperature and control options depend on the strips and electrical equipment selected, so these properties cannot be assigned to the aluminium section alone.

General or decorative linear lighting

akin is intended for general and decorative lighting in plasterboard construction. Its deeper strip position helps create a more uniform light line, although the final result also depends on the LED source and cover. This black anodised version is distinct from the separately listed black lacquered finish.
